Proves of Global Warming

Three main examples show that global warming is real. The first evidence is clearly visible at the poles where icebergs are melting down, increasing the sea level quickly. Isabella Velicogna, the study's lead author and a research scientist at Colorado University at Boulder's Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences said: "The ice sheet is losing mass at a significant rate. It's a good indicator of how the climate is changing. It tells us we have to pay attention." The second prove involves migration of the species native of warmer zones into the "traditional" cooler environments, and as consequence of that the lack of control of foreign pests and diseases. For example, once confined to land near the equator, West Nile Virus is now found as far north as Canada, infected more than 21,000 people in the United States and Canada and killed more than 800. The third evidence is that the climate disorders increase the number of storms and hurricanes. Over the past century, the number of hurricanes that strike each year has more than doubled. Scientists blame global warming and the rising temperature of the surface of the seas. These examples show us that global warming is real, and is related to all people in the world to stop it.

Domestic Violence

Domestic Violence and Consequences

Domestic violence has serious physical psychological and social consequences on the victim. The first one, physical violence: Includes injuries of all types: injuries, wounds, burns, forced sex, sexually transmitted diseases, risk pregnancies, abortions, and deaths. According to Teletica in 2010 the number of women killed by their partners was increased until 36 deaths. The second one the psychological aspect cause a lot of problems in the person who lives in this environment such as: depression, suicide attempts, abuse of alcohol, psychotropic drugs, sexual dysfunction, and using violence on their own children. Psychologist Steven Stosny, PH.D., based in Germantown, Maryland, argues that battering also does terrible things to batterers themselves. “You can’t hurt someone you love and feel good about yourself. The brain´s not designed that way”, says Stosny. The last one, but no less important is related to social involves social isolation that causes deleterious to health; the magnitude of risk associated with social isolation is comparable with that cigarette smoking and other major biomedical and psychosocial risk factor. In conclusion, the domestic violence must be controlled in order to warrantee the social well being.
