Ethnic Conflicts

In many countries and many periods a person’s ethnic identity has had profound consequences for his or her physical safety, political status, and economic prospects. Violent confrontation along ethnic lines is the most apparent form of ethnic conflict, and it recently has claimed lives in such diverse places throughout the world. The three most terrible ethnic conflicts have been the conflict in Rwanda, in former Yugoslavia, and The Holocaust during World War II in Europe.

In Rwanda the conflict is based in two different cultures that start living together around the XII and XIII century in Africa. Those two cultures are the Tutsis and the Hutus. The differences trough the years increased the pressure in the fragile society of Ruanda; controlled by the Tutsis and the hate raising between the parts. Corruption, and traffic of weapons prepared a tragic combination in a country fulfill of problems and racial discrimination. Back in 1994 the genocide touch the higher levels and now the victims are calculated around 500.000 and 1 million of Tutsis, this is one of the worst genocides in the modern era.

By the contrast with the Rwanda and their problems with the tribes, in Yugoslavia around the year of 1989 when the socialist countries in Russia start to crumble the country adopts a capitalist government. There is an historical place of wars because that zone is a path to the middle east and central Asia and it is known because is a door for those markets. When the government was established the new president Slodoban Milosevic started a repressive campaign against the Albanian people who fight for the control of Kosovo. The president of Unite States argued that "our goal is to pay a high price for the repressive policies of Milosevic, and severely degrade the military capacity to maintain that policy. " under the command of the coalition of eight countries, 25 March 1998 alleged attack began bombing military targets. In June it signed an agreement under which Milosevic withdraw his troops from Kosovo and give up the presidency.

And finally the biggest and more known genocide in the history can be the holocaust doing by Adolf Hittler in the Nazi Germany. The Nazi Germany persecuted a lot of different kind of religions not only the Jews, and different kind of ethnics from the countries like Poland and Russia the same situation with politics and even the handicapped people were "clean" with the Nazi politician of "racial inferiority" . The holocaust is the worst and the most explicit act of persecution by a regimen without any respect of life, human universals and hate by a human being.

Ethnic conflicts such as in Rwanda, former Yugoslavia, and The Holocaust during World War II triggered the worst feelings a human being can have. Any country or society can go through such terrors. Different religion, race, and beliefs are not good reasons to kill each other. It depends on new generations not to repeat the terrible crimes against
